Happy New Year!
Wow, I cannot believe it’s already a new year. Is it just me or does it feel like the older you get, the faster the years go by? I enjoy taking time to reflect and appreciate my accomplishments throughout the year. This past year was a great year that I am truly thankful for. I moved out of my parent’s home and into my first apartment, I moved cities out of the blue, had some great blog opportunities with brands, have met some amazing people who are great friends now…and the list continues.
This year I decided to choose a word of the year and set some goals for my life and for my blog.
Word of the year: GROW
I know that growth comes with changes and discomforts but I’m ready for it. I want to grow as a person, I want to grow in my relationship with God, I want to grow my blog and my interactions, I want to grow my relationships, and much more.
Post More Consistently
My posting schedule has been non-existent this past year. I had no idea when I was going to post and what I was going to post…which led to barely any blog posts. Terrible, I KNOW. This year I am planning in advance and posting more consistently to my blog and social media.
I posted a poll on my Instagram story the other day if my followers would be interested in giveaways this year and majority of them voted yes…so I plan to do a few this year individually and with other bloggers!
Grow My Traffic on My Blog and Social Media
I’m hoping posting more consistently will help with this goal. Within the next month, I plan to have a Pinterest account and Facebook page for my blog.
Typical new year goal, isn’t it? Although, I have been going to the gym this past year…I haven’t been consistent with it. I struggle with body image (I never talk about this and I might one day) and working out helps me feel better about myself. I do not have a weight loss goal but I do have some personal body goals that I would like to focus on and achieve this year.
Step Out of Comfort Zones
I love staying “cozy” in my comfort zone, but I know that only limited growth and learning can happen by not stepping out. This year I’m going to push myself to be uncomfortable in order to grow.
Learn How To Cook More
I did not know how terrible I was at cooking until I moved into my own apartment. I have made the fire alarm go off 10x, if not more. I know my neighbors hate me. Therefore, I have been living off of really easy meals and/or fast food. So, this goal is HUGE for me lol. Hopefully, I can share some good recipes with y,all by the end of this year!
I have partnered with Day Designer and received one of their planners (pictured above) that I love and plan on using to keep me in line with some of my goals this year! I will be doing a blog post about the planner and will link it here when I am finished with it.
If you have been following along with me, or just came across my page, thank you for reading & I hope you’ll follow along with me in 2018! Wishing you the best year!
