Curology

Hey ladies,

If you have kept up with some of my beauty posts on my blog or social media, you know that skincare is huge for me. I mean who doesn’t try to achieve perfect skin, AMIRIGHT? I love trying new products and I am always on the hunt for skincare products that actually work for my skin.

Before we get deeper into this post, I want to mention that I have been very blessed to have never really struggled with a lot of acne, but I do have very sensitive skin and breakout at least twice a month. I also want to mention that everyone’s skin is different, so what works for me, might not work for you.

When I decided to collaborate with Curology, the first thing that caught my attention was that you get to work with a licensed dermatology provider to develop an acne prescription made for YOU. How cool is that? And to make it even better…Curology offers a free trial for the 1st month risk free with no commitment. If you’re not loving your formula, you can cancel at any time. All you have to pay for is $4.95 shipping (U.S).

Needless to say, I signed up immediately. The sign up process was so simple. You fill out a questionnaire about your skin type, current regimen, and your overall skincare goals. You then snap three pictures of your face from the front, right, and left and upload them so your dermatology provider can create a custom prescription for you. I love that Curology provides you with your own provider whom you can contact whenever if you have questions.

You are then mailed your custom prescription bottle that has enough product for 30+ applications. (My little bottle has actually lasted me over a month.) Just apply it to your face every night and wait to see your results. If you love your results and want to continue you have two options:

Get a mini bottle every month (30 day supply): $24.90/month

Get a regular bottle every 2 months (60 day supply): $39.90

Here is my honest opinion:

When I completed my skin quiz, I indicated I wanted help with acne, dry skin, and dark spots/circles. After using Curology for three days, I started noticing little bumps on my face but like I have mentioned before, my skin is really sensitive so I figured it was just from trying a new product. (turns out I was right). It’s actually really important to note that purging can occur as your skin adjusts to a new product. Curology talks about this and it was really comforting to know that I could contact my dermatology provider at any time for advice. However, since I am really dramatic and self-conscious when it comes to my skin…I stopped using the product for a week and then continued again whenever the little bumps were gone and the little bumps never appeared again. Not only did I realize after a couple of weeks that Curology was helping with my dark circles and random break outs, it also majorly helped with my dry skin…which is a plus for me.

My bottle included:

Zinc Pyrithione (0.25%): A zinc-based antimicrobial that fights acne via its antibacterial and antifungal effects.

Niacinamide (4%): A vitamin-B3-derived antioxidant that fights acne, inflammation and hyperpigmentation.

Azelaic Acid (4%): Fights dark spots in addition to its antibacterial, antifungal and pore-unclogging properties.

If you have been looking for a new skin care product to try, I highly recommend trying Curology and the free trial with my custom link.
